Tolls in Lativa: fees, regulations, and controls
In Latvia, cars can use most motorways and expressways, including bridges to Lithuania, free of charge without needing to buy a vignette. The only exception is the coastal resort of Jūrmala, where an environmental fee is required. Additionally, commercial heavy goods vehicles over 3 tonnes total weight are subject to a lorry toll and a vignette obligation for the use of main roads.
Toll roads
In Latvia, a toll is only levied in Jūrmala, a coastal resort on the Baltic Sea coast on the Gulf of Riga. This regulation applies to commercial heavy goods vehicles and all other motor vehicles. The city's toll applies around the clock from April to September.
